Everyone knows Desantis is running so Trump should be running against him.
The Desantis plan is to wait as long as possible to announce.
The Trump campaign is trying to disrupt that plan.

I think DeSantis is waiting to see if he's going to run, and that will depend on how well Trump is doing. I personally think things like "DeSanctimonius" will hurt Trump and make it more, not less likely that RD ends up in the race.

There were 3,296,057 fewer votes cast in 2022 than in 2020. Based on the official vote totals, if the turnout was the same, DeSantis would need just 1,054,522 votes of those 3,296,057 votes to have more votes than Trump. That's 31.99%. Any inbred frick could hit at least 32% of those nearly 3.3 million votes.
If DeSantis got just 37.5% (3 out of 8) of those nearly 3.3 million votes he'd have 181,500 more votes than Trump did.
