People really need to a get a hold of themselves. We forget that this is supposed to fun. Even though we lost, I enjoyed being at the game. I'm not taking this so seriously anymore.

Wait a second, Smith calls his house and they get in an argument, Smith drives over to the guys house and they get in a fight, then Smith retrieves a pistol from his car and comes back for more. The homeowner grabs his shotgun and kills the guy. Take away the football angle, and this sounds like a guy who was protecting himself. Throw in the football angle and it sounds like a bunch of drunken rednecks. My question about blasting the chick, did she grab the gun?
Sounds like the LSU guy couldn't handle anymore remarks about "losing with Miles' players"....

I agree. I went to the Georgia game, sat with GA fans and tailgated with them. Rooted like hell for the Tigers and even though we lost it was a great time had by all. LSU fans need to step back and realize this is entertainment, its fun, not life and death.

From the way it is written the first one might get thrown out. Shooting the chick won't. Might not be first degree though.
But who really knows the facts from a brief article.

Read the story, this Gump is charged with DOUBLE MURDER. Even if the LSU guy deserved it, did the intervening and presumably innocent girlfriend?

I did read it, obviously...my question is about this line "Donna Smith then threatened Williams, who shot and killed the woman, they said."...I'm wondering did she grab the gun? Or just verbally threaten him?
I gotta tell you, if she grabbed the gun, this guy will probably get off. He was at his house and the guy came at him with a pistol...a halfway decent lawyer will get him acquitted, especially since any conflicting testimony is buried with the man and woman.
