Got a 7 month old GSP… she is going full captain insano on me. She has had some training. What dog toys or activities do y’all recommend to keep this beast tamed? Was thinking an RC car she can chase around.

Rule of thumb, no hunting dogs in the house.

It’s raining and freezing where I am at right now. Not the typical night/day.

So it's the climate's fault.

This is a dumb and antiquated rule. My two inside GSPs will out hunt your dogs all day.
Say when!

That kennel looks too small for her from that pic and angle. I hope you don’t lock her up in that tiny thing for hours a day, then expect her to be anything less than insane when she’s finally released.
Toys are one thing, but a dog like that needs a lot of attention and exercise daily.

Beef knuckles seem to last the longest for my pups. I also have a bunch of rope toys. Any kind of stuffed toys get the eyeballs chewed out of them first followed by the cotton stuffing.

if she's a chewer it's important to give her a variety of different textures - something tough/bouncy like a nylabone, something soft like a stuffed toy, and something noisy like a cloth covered crinkled paper. It took me many dogs to realize they like variety, so it's not just one toy or one KIND of toy but several at the same time. When she was a puppy, I've seen my current dog lay in one spot and switch from one toy to another after a few minutes and then another and then back to the first one.
They also need something that will occupy their brain - something like a kong or a hollow beef bone stuffed with frozen dog food that they have to work at getting out.
At 7 months old, she's still got a LOT of puppy in her - exercise through play 3-4 times per day ... and walking is not exercise. Tug of war is great and you'll be surprise how much stronger she gets in a very short time. Play ball if she'll fetch, but playtime with another dog of the same size/disposition is excellent. We still do "play dates" with a friends dog who's about the same size/age/personality as ours and they both sleep like logs for hours afterward. As a puppy she's probably still teething too - chunks of ice from the freezer satisfied my dogs need to chew and made her teething easier. To this day she follows me to the freezer and has to have her cube anytime I get something out.

A friend had a GSP.. There were paw prints on the wall... Like all four of the paws. They ended up giving it to some cousins in the country to run on a farm... Crazy dog.

Kong bones and balls are indestructible. Mine like the squeaker balls and stuffed animals that make a paper noise.

I think we should have a contest to see who can guess this dog's name.
I'll start.
Marley

See the rug in the pic… a product of her tantrums.
