Not buying games because you know you’ll never actually have the time to play them.

Won’t be getting Hogwarts or TLOU Remake. I want RE4 Remake but I feel like I should beat 3, 7, and Village first - which itself will never happen.

Being 35 sucks.

At least you're not over 50 asking a forum about starting a twitch channel

You can find time to play. Just ignore your responsibilities.

I made up my mind a few years ago once I got really into gaming that I'll simply have to sacrifice sleep in order to get as much time in as I want.

Yep. I only have time for games like Halo. Where I can play for about 20-30 minutes without having to invest hours and hours into it.

I have an entire backlog I'm keeping in my Amazon cart, in hopes that one day I'll have the time to play.

I'm in my 40's with 2 kids and still play most of the games I want to play. I just accepted years ago that its going to take a long time to get through them and I only play a few at a time for 4-6 hours a week. (sometimes more or less) Games like Resident Evil usually take about a month. Something like Metal Gear Solid 5 took a year of just chipping away at it.

One plus to only having an hour or two at time to play games is the repetitive ones, dont get boring to me.

My wife doesnt play much anymore on console but she used to and doesnt have a problem with me doing it. She still plays mobile games. My daughters and their friends all play too on another Xbox.

I luck out by having a job that gives me long periods off. When I’m working, I have no time for it.

Mine got me Dark Souls 3 a few years ago because she remembered I wanted it. She ended up playing it more than me. We got another console, for this reason, and then picked up Dark Souls 2 and Remastered. We've played through all 3 of them numerous times.

I never would have thought my wife would end up playing Dark Souls of all games.

She wanted a PS5 specifically for Demons Souls Remake. I agreed.

Breh I'm there with you. I just pick one game and stick with it until I finish. It may take a week, or 6 months. I've been replaying Witcher 3 for like 9 months I just play for an hour or two whenever I can.

My wife has zero issue, as long as I put headphones on

I imagine if I played competitive, she might take a different tack, but because I exclusively play single player games, she views it as no different than her watching TV to relax. Though I'll admit that I've done a fair amount of proselytizing regarding video games as mediums for both storytelling and art (and play games that fit that mold), so no telling what her default might have been.

No worries. You're getting to the age where you will begin to lose interest in gaming.
