Not playing your game of what ifs. Let's keep the focus on you thinking child molesters are victims and should be treated better in prison than other criminals.

Only a trashy fricking human would believe that.

Are you REALLY this stupid?

Housing them in low- or medium-security facilities is not ABOUT the perspective of the prisoner. It is a matter of finding the most cost-effective means by which the State can achieve its objective of protecting its citizens from recidivism.

The cost per prisoner of operating a low-security facility is a tiny fraction of the cost of operating a high-security facility.

Stop thinking like a teenage girl.

The current system doesn't protect kids. I'm fine with parental justice.

Not even in the same universe of analogy.

It seems you value all life the same. I don't. A rapist's life is worthless to me. It has less value than the rope used to kill him. We're ridding the world of human excrement.

Did the father/husband technically commit a crime? Yeah. In the state's eyes, it was wrong. Am I going to put him in the same category as a murderer or rapist? No. I would consider it a victimless crime.

So you think child molesters are victims and should be housed in safe areas in prison and you're a compulsive liar

Are you scared of going to prison for something or what people would think of you?

Nope. Not at all. How many murders do you think happen at Angola, Hunt or DCI annually? How many child molesters do you think are in there? They aren't being killed in any notable number. Another myth.

Sentencing such types to extended periods has always seemed like the classic "briar patch" scenario, which is a mockery of all that society believes it has been doing attempting to ensure equitable justice to victims and their families, but which in effect plays into such offenders' hands.

Sure, they're incarcerated away from more potential victims, but to them, it's the second-best thing to being free and roaming, because it allows them to spend their long, worthless hours musing, fantasizing and reliving flashbacks to their disgusting crimes.

It's the offense with the highest recidivism rate, and it can't be cured with therapy.

If DeSantis wants to rob them of that, so be it. No problem with it.

But the same can be said of other psychopaths who when given long stretches, use them to remember fondly their gruesome acts. For such types it's "the next best thing to actually being there."

Alvin Scott Lloyd here in Louisiana qualified for the electric chair by drowning a three-year old girl in a mud puddle so she wouldn't talk.

A monstrous act in which anything the system could have meted out to him wouldn't have brought true justice to the victim or her mother who was present at the kidnapping and was unable to stop it.

The authorities at the prison kept delaying his execution claiming they couldn't do it because "he was depressed."

They malingered and stonewalled with his execution long enough for that reprehensible state Supreme Court to eventually vacate his death sentence.

The lawyer in that case who argued for Lloyd and was successful in getting his sentence vacated was John Getsinger, an import from Minneapolis. Like we didn't have enough like him down here to do it.

This was all before DNA for criminal investigations was available.

I will try again. I will use small words.

Molester bad.
Goal is to protect citizens from molester.
High-security prisons are expensive.
Low-security prisons are less expensive.
Even prisons should be cost-effective.
If government can protect citizens by using low-cost (low-security) prison, it should do so.

Please note that the comfort of the offender plays ZERO role in this analysis.

This is brilliant. Start at death. Settle for castrations. Both sides feel like they win.

Castration doesn't always stop pedos.

Theres only one thing that stops them.

Doesn't appear you had the same scores as I

quote:

Goal is to protect citizens from molester.
High-security prisons are expensive.
Low-security prisons are less expensive.
Even prisons should be cost-effective.

So you moved the goalposts from molesters being safe to it's more cost effective.

Everyone on here has now seen that you think pedophiles are victims and should be protected in prison. I used your own words not mine.

Roger, you got up in my grill, arguing that child molesters will re-offend, when I had stated (several times) that they have a high rate of recidivism. It is readily-apparent that you did not understand the terminology.
