How do you realize a loss on a worthless stock?

E*trade won’t let me sell a $0 delisted stock, but I’d like to at least write off the loss on taxes. Anybody know how to work this? Or is it reflected on your annual tax info from the platform?

Call them. A rep. might have to buy it from you manually.

De listed does not mean worthless.
Call them. Many times they will “buy” it for $1 so you can take loss.

You can contact the company or their IR firm and find out if they are working on getting re-listed, especially since it's early in the year and you have time to see what happens.
