Will all restaurants please start adding any additional costs to the price of the food?

It’s a ploy to keep menu prices looking reasonable during inflation. Better to sell an entree for 18.99 and tack on 3-4 dollars when you pay than list the entree as 23.99 and the customer never walk in the door
The people who suffer are probably the servers because if you budgeted x amount for the meal and the unexpected charges hit, many people likely subtract from the tip

Going out to eat has become not worth it. Usually get crappy service or lower quality food with smaller portions ever since we shut down the country for 2 weeks 3 years ago

It has to be killing medium priced joints. I'll still go somewhere I know is reasonably priced in a pinch, but now if I'm already spending 70+, I may as well go to nice places and pay about 40 bucks extra.

Before the last two years I ate out 3-5 times a week. Now it’s 1-3.
Now though I go to the same place and have bartenders who hook it up and know the kitchen staff as well. So I’ll pay 30-50$ for a meal and 4-6 drinks.

I just put a line through the charge, change balance, add tip and done. If a fee is not disclosed before I order and eat the meal, I just don't pay it. Period. This not hard, guys. They legally cannot force you to pay for something you didn't agree to.
They can charge a cover fee. Okay. I then decide if it's worth it to me. My decision. Not theirs. These sneaky fees are bullshite. I refuse.

It's more comical watching people who don't own a restaurant and have no experience or knowledge about it condemn people who actually do for raising prices without actually understanding why the owners are being forced to raise them.
