she made terrible decisions which indirectly led to this.
Quit the victim blaming, FFS.
This is on par with "if she didn't wear a dress that made guys bring their attention towards her" type shite.
Reggie's is notorious for not being serious about ID checking/serving drinks they knew would end up in the hands of minors. This all happens because Reggie's did not care AND the perps decided to commit crime that not.

Government isn’t close to LSU and that was completely unrelated to campus being safe. This stuff does happen everywhere and you’re ignorant if you think it doesn’t.
Red Stick Social is 3 miles from campus, you retarded frick. It doesn't have to be right outside the gates to be reasonably patrolled and kept safe by this inept city police department. It's clearly on everybody's radar that it's patron base is early 20's, college aged kids in Baton Rouge. And no, it's not happening at other campuses. Both of these stories need to blow up immensely to finally get LSU's arse on the line. But by all means, please. Let's keep defending rapists and murderers. Jesus Christ - I thought SlowFlow and Meauxjeaux were being stupid in this thread but holy shite.

You can’t seriously think she has zero blame in any of this.
well at what point do you think she made a conscious decision to have this happen to her? At what point do you think she decided "this is what I want to have happen to me tonight"?
She may (or may not) have decided to get hammered. But she didn't decide to get hammered drunk and get raped/dead. Thats where the personal responsibility finger wagging is misplaced.

it's hard to speculate on her drinking.
she could have:
-been grossly over-served by reggie's
-came to reggie's already very, very drunk
-possibly been drugged
-the guys knew she was blacked out and vulnerable and kept getting her drinks

That's definitely the opinion of one of the PT board incels in the thread over there.

The Government St. murder was 1.59 miles from campus. 5 min. drive.

From LSU to the train tracks where the shooting occurred is about 3 miles. The areas are separate from each other.

I just want to see some representative from LSU make a public plea to Broom and the city to address the crime.
LSU has this responsibility to its students.

You’re an idiot. The average fraternity member would have helped her get from the bar to her apartment safely. Just because there are a few bad apples doesn’t mean the average guy in a fraternity is a POS.

As a father of two young girls this story is sickening and frightening. The lack of respect and decency for human life is appalling. These guys are nothing but thugs and will NEVER contribute to positively to society. I hope they fry these bastards.
Sadly, other than the death, this story has played itself out hundreds of thousands of times over many, many years. This is not a new thing at all and most of the time, because the victim doesn't die, nothing at all happens. She wakes up somewhere and isn't sure where she is. She wanders out, calls her girlfriends to come get her, and they get her and take care of her.
I know several women who have experienced this. Women out there...how many do you know?
Yes, women and girls need to not get drunk to this point, but there are always men out there who are the lowest of low and take advantage of them and there are always some people that think she deserved it for getting that drunk.

You think I’m victim blaming? Wait until the trial, the defense team is going to blow up her personal life and try to find anything to show this wasn't the first time she did something like this. What happens if it comes out she had been in actual consensual situations like this before? Will you feel differently?

No one is saying she deserves it? You can say someone shouldn’t have done something because it led to something bad happening without blaming them or saying they deserved that bad thing to happen.

What information do you have that proves she's to blame? Or is this just more incel saber rattling?

I’m not saying there is, it’s just a fact that the guys’ defense team will try to find anything to help their case. Not saying they’ll find anything. Do you know how trials work?

Pretty sure you mean indirectly.
possibly but also seems pretty direct when you have 4 underage people leaving impaired from a bar and bad actions immediately follow. either way, my general point stands.

Yeah, and what's in between those 2 areas?
LSU extends as far as the Burger King on Highland, and then Boosie's neighborhood begins to get closer.
The Capitol Heights/Government Street area is closer to the part of town you don't want to be on (north of Government). Closer to BRCC.

"happens all the time at any university" argument?
Murder doesn't happen at universities. Sexual assaults do.

They are both pretty good examples probably of what a cesspool the home of the state's flagship university is becoming.
I think the first example is a much bigger feather in this cap. By an exponential degree.
The most recent tragedy is terrible but the underlying issues are very common at pretty much every college or university across the US. This just had a secondary event that made it even more tragic and noteworthy. I don't know if this necessarily speaks about baton rouge or LSU specifically like the cold blooded murder
