Climate "science" is largely inaccurate modeling based on biased data. It's not the application of the scientific method at all.

It's actually worse than that.

While there may have been a time in the past when it wasn't true, in the last 20 years, climate "science" has been nothing but results driven. And there is NOTHING "scientific" about conducting seeking a specific result.

But, you basically have to now if you're in the field. We sent up a fricking satellite in part to validate part of Einstein's theories regarding gravity bending light. With the idea that if the observations turned out unexpected, it would mean revisiting Einstein.

But if you proposed tomorrow to conduct research aimed at validating views critical of prevailing wisdom, you wouldn't receive a goddamned dollar. And, if you manage to find a private benfactor to fund you, it'll just be labeled biased and the peer review process will quite simply ignore you.

Land also rises and falls. It’s falling a lot in Louisiana (9 mm per year) due to subsidence. It’s rising on the west coast at many locations due to the subduction zone where the continental plates meet.

Exactly, & that speaks to my point. Those things are independent of water levels rising or lowering. Which certainly is a thing. There are submerged caves in the Caribbean where humans used to live & make fires in, but when the ice sheets melted and retreated, levels rose several hundred feet to what they are today.

I can only guess, but I would imagine that the Earth spinning at such a high rate of speed would push that water to the equator (centrifugal force), thus creating a bulge..

Did the earth's rate of spin recently speed up? If not, how does this result in an "increase" in sea level?

No, my friend, I am a global warming skeptic from the late 1980's. This has been going on much longer than 20 years.

In the late 80's they said that by 2025 - 2050 AT THE LATEST - there would be at least 3.5 degrees F warming and up to 6.5. Of course that is obviously not happening, so they have radically moved the goal posts.

Centrifugal force.

Think of a spinning top. If I place a drop of water on it while it is spinning, it will make its way to the middle of the spinning top before being sling off.

However, on Earth, gravity, when coupled with the weight of the water itself, would lead to a bulge in the middle, hence increased sea levels near the equator, while elsewhere...not so much.

It’s probably why Barry and Big Mike have no concerns for their Oceanside mansion.
