Zion clearly. We’re almost at the end of year 4 and he’s only played 114 games. AD played 260 in his first 4 years. It’s not even close. Zion has completely let this franchise down

Hard to say that when the things that have happened to him aren't exactly in his control. He couldn't have just magically not gotten injured.

I don’t think Zion is necessarily injury prone, I just think the way he plays leads to injury. It’s the most physical style of basketball ever seen maybe?

This injury wasn’t a result of that ironically, but I constantly worry about his hands as well as players are swiping at his hands constantly.

If 114 games in 4 years isn’t injury prone then idk what is.

You have to be pretty unlucky to pull a hammy jogging up the court... unless something else did him in.

He is great on the court and I can't wait to get him back. BI too. These to healthy with our supporting cast are very good. Our supporting cast needs Zion and BI back, because our biggest strength is putting out a defensive crew with Zion or BI and we can do that ALL game with Jose, Herb, Naji, and Dyson.

That's fine if his trajectory is Embiid.

94 games in the first 4 years

Is it? Embiid can’t make it through a full season and post season. He’s been injured the last 2 post seasons and cost his team a chance at the title

I mean both BI and Zion are injury prone, but what is the alternative?

We had to give them both the max because it was the only chance we had at getting top tier talent on our roster.

I wouldn't say Zion is injury prone, hes really only had two major injuries which makes it seem like he’s injured more than he actually is.

His other injuries have just been unfortunate things that happen. Broken finger from someone hitting his hand, bruised arse from a hard fall, and a hamstring pull, which everyone has multiple times in their career

Zion has been beyond unreliable over the last 4 years.
Then add BI and we have 2 players together that are good for maybe 70-85% of the season combined for a cost of over $55 million.
it is now a multi-year pattern and a massive problem.

i dont know about "prone" to injury. maybe.

the more concerning issue im seeing is how long each zion issue takes to heal.
as far as i know he cant even practice shooting after these injuries so he improves shooting more slowly than he might have been expected to.

If you asked me pre-draft, no...no its not.

Now? We just have to accept it

That's the issue, there's not a lot of other options. Obviously it's too early to do anything with either but if they both miss 25+ games again next season, it would be time to start thinking about alternatives and moving 1 of them IMO.

In fairness, any team they would have been on, both dudes were getting a max on their 1st extension.

Why do people constantly blame players for getting hurt? They really don't want to be injured, you dummies know this, right?

Odds of that current hamstring injury being a 3 week injury are probably less than 10% ...
