The other offensive lineman in the SUV, Warren McClendon, who'd declared for the NFL draft that same day, received stitches to his head and was released from the hospital. Mind blowing.

That is a bad wreck and the other survivors are lucky to be alive after that.

It’s amazing 2 people survived

curious to how this happened

Is this the one where the driver was suppose to be keeping the players safe?

Article I saw said they veered off the road into a power poles and trees. Would guess distracted or impaired driving, or fell asleep behind the wheel.
Supposedly the female recruiting staffer was driving.

For some reason I had the idea they were travelong along an interstate or highway. That looks residentialish. The people in that house are lucky as well.

Were toxicology reports ever released on the driver?

How fast were they going if the car ended up that far off the road and in that shape? Jeez

I have to ask what speed they were traveling at to cause that amount of damage to a full size SUV. That is an almost unbelievable degree of damage.

Road they were on is just off campus and a mix of rural farm and residential. Two lane.

If that’s the case could easily be a deer running onto the road unexpectedly too.

That's bad. If you wouldn't have put it in the title, there's no way I could've figured out it was an expedition.

BSR is about 15 miles from its beginning at 78/ Lexington Rd just outside of Athens, until it terminates at 15/ Main St. in Watkinsville.
You wouldn't happen to know the nearest crossroad where the crash occured?

Some of those roads outside Athens are dangerous as shite. I made a promise to not drive out of Athens at a night after games anymore if going down 441. You have hilly, deer infested, two lane roads with no lights and people are driving way too fast.
I don’t know where this happened but wouldn’t shock me if deer were a part of it. Remember leaving once after a game and I saw dozens of deer and at least 10 roadkill deer

Can't imagine, I think our expedition is a tank. What type of speed they were going?
Posted on 1/16/23 at 3:55 am to RealDawg
Was the Expedition a university vehicle?
Posted on 1/16/23 at 4:52 am to Sgt Tuffnuts
That thing must have been going way too fast to do that kind of damage.
