The truth about LSU basketball

Look I know you”re tired of hearing it but LSU screwed up firing Wade and it’s very telling. Program Went from a big trajectory up to poverty. What makes it worse is bill self is still employed at Kansas after having worse accusations.., why? Because Kansas cares about there bball program. . The issue is LSU doesn’t care about basketball… Football is the money maker, we never have been a basketball school and prolly never will be. You gotta have the admin support and the want to win, it’s obvious. For example, look at bama, Arkansas, auburn and other schools who have funded the program/ facilities. We still have an arena that leaks from the roof, and share a weight room, and we fire our best coach we’ve had in 20 years. It’s really sad, but the that’s the issue. LSU doesn’t care at this point and haven’t for the past 15-20 years. If u want to win, fund it!! Also don’t fire the best guy you’ve had since dale ( who also cheated his arse off)
By the way, Jackson st (swac school), liberty, longwood, south Alabama weren’t beat this bad against Bama. That’s an issue
Another issue… Trent (with a tuba player, and JJ with the worst conference record in bball history was never beat this bad…. Remember Wade took over after JJ’s last year ( worst in history) But what did he do? Got tremont from conn and was competitive, actually made the NIT and made bball kinda exciting. I even remember going to the first round playing ULL. Lot of hype and made LSU bball worth watching . But now….this program is far gone and it’s sad

We had to fire Wade, he made his own bed. Woody had to settle on a mid-tier coach with potential sanctions looming.

We just spent 3 mill a year to hire a women's basketball coach...you know, the sport that might be LSU's biggest money drain.
Even though they won't the rant should shut the frick up and give it time. New guy may very well be a good coach, but it's impossible to tell right now.
And if he doesn't win, Woodward will swing for the fences and make a splash hire when the NCAA finally gets off our backs.

Do you honestly believe LSU was going to get the same treatment from the NCAA as Kansas if we kept Wade?

Would have much preferred LSU kept Wade and the program ended up getting the death penalty after seeing what he could have done this year. Instead, LSU gave itself the death penalty.

Wade’s first class he landed Waters, Bigby-Williams and Rachel . His second class he got Naz, Smart, Days, Emmitt Williams and Taylor. They were never not coming.

Buga, I agree. If Scott would have fought for Wade, there would have been minimal repercussions. Wade wasn’t his hire though. I love Wade and went to school with Scott so I’m torn

I really am surprised how many people actually care about basketball. I love LSU but basketball is just lame.

Give it time? Nobody was saying that when Wade took over after the worst year in LSU bball history,… guy was actually competitive. Won the sec in his second year, never lost by 40 points. That’s embarrassing and a problem

We have the right coach but he has no Gs and rim protectors. Coach Mac needs to kill it in the portal and get 2 big time Gs a 1 and a 2 and a fly swatter!
