Look I can relate to the feeling very well. I was at BDS last year for this game, so I know the feeling all you LSU fans feel right now. And I see NO reason to rub your nose in it or anything like that. It was a classic game that will be talked about for along time. And YES ya'll should be very proud of your TIGERS! And yes i will come around and talk football with you guys more since I live in south MISS I get alot of LSU news. GL the rest of the year.

Make a 20 mile trip up 55 and watch a game with us sometime. I've got a GREAT place to watch one. LINK

I agree. I predicted 3 loses this year (Auburn, Florida and either Georgia or Bama for the Tigers loses)
I was close. I am disappointed about the tough year, but I can handle it. I was a student and in the band from 91 - 95. Those Curley years were tough. Especially 1992, 2 and 9 (only beating Tulane and Miss. State)
Since I went through some tough years, it makes a 3 loss year more bearable.

Dude...you deserve a big from me for keeping the faith and encouraging others to do the same back then. I was there and remember well. The band was always awesome, though. Thanks
!

Ditto. This is the first post I've read after getting home from the game, and I feel the same way.

Wish I had been there. That stadium was ROCKIN!

Hmmm, I really REALLY need some of whatever it is that you guys are drinking that makes you not feel like you've been robbed tonight.
I can think of at least three acceptable alternatives to playing Jumpin Jehosphat Lee tonight (some would have had to been begun on earlier in the season).
1. Wild Tiger: For God's sake, snap the ball to Kieland Williams, Richard Murphy, or Charles Scott and let them run or throw the ball. At least that way you'd have an extra blocker and could run more and keep control of the game.
2. Conversion: rumor has it Demetrius Byrd and Richard Murphy both have killer arms. If we are so shallow at QB that we have to play JJL (I'm assuming Hatch is Dead? Or Jefferson is too scared to play?) then why weren't we converting one of them to QB earlier in the season.
3. Fire Crowton and run the wishbone. That seems to be the only offense we are qualified to run with our current ahem, QB issues.
You know, the LSU defense played like the #1 defense in the nation tonight. The LSU offensive line gave JJL plenty of time to do his thing. His running back ran their asses off to give him breathing space.
Give it up boys, he just can't do it. He's not SEC QB material. Period. I'm sure there's some Junior College out there who needs a QB, but JJL is not ready for prime time. Period.
And if Les Miles and Gary Crowton can't figure that out, then they're overpaid.
Sorry, I just saw tonight what I've suspected all season, that we have a top five team behind HELD BACK by an unready kid at QB. And it breaks my heart for all those seniors, they deserve better than this. And they are too classy to say so, so I'll say it for them.
Miles is ruining their senior season.

Dude, you need to get a grip and chill. We all knew this year it was going to be almost impossible to contend for the NC with inexperienced quarterbacks not to mention an inexperienced secondary.
So just chill, remember the sun will rise tomorrow and LSU is still a helluva lot better now than they were under Dinardo, Hallman, and Archer.

Damned right they are better. Personally, I think they are better than last year, but they have not lived up to their talent, and that's gonna be real hard to do if your QB takes the wind out of your sails every five minutes by giving the ball to the other team.
I'm just saying, there are other options.

Mountain Dew. And nothing is wrong with supporting your team and giving words of encouragement after a CLOSE loss to the #1 team in the nation. No, I don't feel robbed. I feel vindicated. I KNEW that these guys were good. They proved it tonight.

Are you a coach...even on a peewee level? Easy to second guess after the fact. You seriously sound like a spoiled band wagon fan who only jumped on since LSU has been winning and making a statement the last few years.

Romor? Jeez! Good call, coach! Again, you ain't the coach and never will be. Sorry, but thems the facts.

Yes he is. He'll be fine as long as his coach doesn't quit on him as you have. Lose a little money today or something? Lee will set records in the SEC if given the chance.

They aren't paid enough to do what they do AND put up with the kind of shite that you are spewing.

You are right to apologize. I have already said that we have some young, inexperienced members of our team, who by the way, are playing their hearts out for their teamates and the Tiger faithful. I'm sure that if asked, the seniors on the team would both support the younger members of their team and tell you to blow it out your arse.

Got it out of your system, now?

This is college football and most teams have to deal with inexperience. This is why it is so hard to win national championships. So much has to fall into place. But that's what makes college football so great, and better than the pros in my opinion. Every year is a new year and every game is dramatic

Thanks for the great post here MississippiLSU. The Tigers played a damn good game against the #1 team in the land. Hell, I thought we could win, and they almost pulled it off. That shows what a great effort these young men displayed.
I have a sincere admiration for these players who represent LSU. They have heart, gave it their all and never gave up.
As a fan I will stand with them tall(well i be short) and proud.
