Every time I read something about this team I'm having trouble believing this college baseball team will actually exist.

It seems you could field two SEC teams with this kind of talent. I mean, forget Omaha or bust...

Why do people keep trying to take the best 1st baseman in the country off of first base JHC he’s not coming off of first nor should it ever be considered

LSU has 6 National Championships in baseball and 47 National Championships in all sports.

Versus, MSU's single National Championship in baseball period.

Not a fan of it. 20 years ago, sure. Coming up on 15 years without winning it all… eh.

Coach Johnson said one big difference this year is that the staff will have 5 left handers, compared to only 2 last year. But the biggest addition will be Coach Wes Johnson as the pitching coach. Described him as "not the best pitching coach in college, but the best pitching coach in baseball." As has been noted, he was the pitching coach with the Twins last year when the Twins were leading their division. Said that transfer Tommy White, who led the nation in HR's and hit .360, told him that the LSU staff was the best he's faced, and, Johnson noted, the ACC has several really good teams. This team is loaded, but, as usual, the SEC has 3-4-5 teams in the Top Ten, several more in the Top 25.

It is very very very hard to win the natty in baseball. Hence LSU being tied for 2nd even with the drought.
