All the Covid bullshite in this state would have been vastly different with an (R) in the governor’s mansion.

I think it would have also been different if JBE was only in his first term starring down a re-election bid.

If Covid happened in 2018, no way he would have tried to govern the state in a Stalin-like manner knowing he’d have to answer to rural, white voters who still vote for EWE/JBE-type Democrats when they’re on the ballot.

Perhaps. My point still stands.

Are checked by every person running thus far. I think what you really want is to “OwN tHe LiBs!!!!!” What we need is someone who’ll “fix our state.” I’m mad as hell that we’re currently getting boatraced by Mississippi in education. I don’t want a leader of my state that’s afraid of libraries because of a red herring.

Landry checks all my boxes.

Hes in politics and I'm sure there have been stumbles along the way. We all stumble in life.

If that makes me an idiot in your eyes, it's not me that needs to be fixed.

You sound like a good person with strong values.

But Louisiana isn't at the bottom of every list because we aren't christian enough. Or pro-gun enough.

We have a jacked-up economy, tax structure and education system (among a host of other problems). After you eliminate any non-christian, anti-gun candidates, please consider voting for the person that will most likely improve the state.

Nelson is my favorite atm. I’m looking forward to learning more from Hewitt and Schroeder.

Is Nelson even running? He’s in his first term of his first elected office.

I don’t know what you Nelson people are doing but it looks silly. If you’re trying to plant seeds for the next cycle or later, or another office later, I get it and would likely support because he looks good (based on the scant record, I voted for him btw), but for right now it doesn’t make much sense.

For me that’s the whole point. I don’t want another governor who is beholden to special interest groups and corrupted through their years in office. I want someone fresh who’s ready to actually fight the battle and change the tide.

This is better than the rest, imho, as odd as it sounds. What he espouses, I like.

Landry’s issues have been mentioned on here.
I do like his willingness to scrap though.

Schroeder was Bobby’s play toy, as he did pretty much whatever Jindal told him to.
As such, he lost my vote going forward.

Hewitt is solid, but tied directly to O&G (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Nungesser is pretty much a Dem. Game over.

You vote for whomever you wish, as for me, I’m going with what I posted earlier.

Weird.

He was one of the most outspoken critics of the Jindal Administration’s fiscal games. He pretty consistently voted against HB1, and the Capital Outlay Bill (HB2) that was used to buy votes.

Then voted with him almost every time.

Talk is cheap.

I think he's more farsighted than anyone we've had the ability to vote for in recent past. The changes we need are going to take some time, and no politician is ever honest about that.

Was a thread on here a year or so ago asking who we felt the greatest governor was, and it was depressing.

Okay so you’re just going to bald faced lie. Okay duly noted going forward, you’re a fricking liar.

People like you are exactly why we’ve had two terms of Bel Edwards.

Spill the beans on the Nungesser rumors.

Creepy bastard gave my wife his personal cell number at an event awhile back and we laughed our asses off about it.

frick off.

I am right.

He had a chance to man up. He backed down because Bobby was going to frick him over.

He caved.

Another poster (in the past) mentioned that he did so in order to not be ostracized politically.
In doing so, he could still help his constituents.

Perhaps that was the case.

Nonetheless, I am correct in my recollection
(Generally speaking, as in...I don’t recall how he voted on EVERY piece of legislation).

Again, you vote for whomever you like.

I voted for him before, I don’t plan on voting for him again.

Wrong.

People not listening to me are why we got the water boys dad and cuck Cassidy.

I have a post history if you care to dig.

If not...cool.

Either way, go frick yourself.

We don’t deserve someone as great as Schroeder. Sucks though imo he’s gonna get eaten alive bc he’s not a politician and is such a genuinely good dude. Once Kennedy was out he knew he was gonna be in.

Yeah, Schroeder is a serious, principled man.

No way the Louisiana electorate goes for that over Jeff Landry. I’m sure Landry has a Trump sticker on his pickup truck!
