I'd take him. He appears to be a solid player. Not a game changer, but we don't need that at every position.

I said it yesterday and got rebuffed quickly, but I feel like we need another EDGE. We've got alot of potential at the position, but we still need someone solid with experience. Doesn't have to be a starter. Honestly, I hope they don't start, but someone that sets the baseline on how good we can be at the position.

Hard pass for me since Ovie has 1 year of eligibility remaining. He is looking for a starting job or significant playing time to increase his draft stock. LSU needs young depth who plan to be here for the next 2-3 yrs and will contribute to a possible Championship run. Signing Ovie takes away valuable snaps from current players who are already committed to the program. You take away their playing time, and it's very likely these young recruits will enter the portal next year.

Not really. Ideally, you get to rotate players. They all get playing time. You don't have to play 90% of snaps to get drafted.

They'll be starting next year when he leaves. If they're that impatient then cya we'll just replace you with someone just as good if not better in portal next year or HS recruit.
You need someone with experience right now. BJ is a big loss on the defense so while you have potential there you still need someone with some experience at the position and solid production.
