You can’t argue anecdotes to someone that grew up in rural St Tammany and knows exactly how great it is for raising successful children

There is no hope for New Orleans, it’s gone

Per capita, safer to live in NOLA as a kracker. Statistically.

Dude get real. The crime is bad and will get worse. My neighborhood facebook group, uptown, was posting stories of murders and kids bleeding out in yards monthly.

F*** THAT.

You can take all your excuses and "it ain't that bad" and shove it. I've been living in big cities for quite a while now and things are out of control.

Nah. This has been a constant theme with New Orleans for decades. When I lived there, crime was low comparatively but the native NOLAianas still excused every problem the city had.

Cross streets?

Saw someone claiming Clara and Valence as uptown earlier.

One thing he seems to be implying is that only white people post on tigerdroppings.

And that murder is the only crime that exists.

Go ahead and prove everyone wrong. Walk around at night without any protection at all.

Oh, I think rural St Tammany is great for raising a St Tammany family.

Almost anywhere else in South Lousiana.

It's just the truth. Per capita white people aren't really killed in Orleans.

Be it domestic or whatever just happens to be true. There is a reason, but it isn't racial, so it isn't really going to make sense.

Go park you car in NOLA close to the arena every night for a week. Sounds like you don’t know what the frick you are talking about.

My days in rural Louisiana had a girl kidnapped and murdered less than a mile from my house, a fellow schoolmate had one of this grandparents murdered, the other just shot in the face (by a serial killer), multiple people killed over drugs, and someone gunned down at my high school (granted several years before).

People flocked there because it was safe. Still do.

No place is completely safe. It's called risk management. You are considerably safer in Praerieville than living in New Orleans down, say, Eastmore rd.

Agreed.

My point was mainly that people will compartmentalize risk despite they truth being in front of them.

I’ll tell you why. It’s bc 1) Nola is local for this Louisiana-centric board, and 2) Nola is what Democrats want the entire country to look like.

Absolutely false.

This isn’t new. The defending of NOLA’s faults and problems have been a constant on here for years.

They are only doing it in response to constant criticism…
