Question about Kevin Costner in Yellowstone

Just started watching. Does he vocal fry the entire series, or after a few episodes do the producers realize how weird it is and distracting it is?

Someone find video of the lying bitch from the Kavanagh SC hearing. That was trained purposeful vocal fry. Not what Kevin Costner does. And yes that is very close to what his actual voice is now.
