If prayer was ever gonna work, it was with Damar Hamlin.

As some of you might know, I'm not a big believer in a higher power, but even I have to admit that the outpouring for him has been remarkable.

He has the will of a nation behind him, and his recovery has been unbelievable.

One has to appreciate the power of the people and their respective belief systems.

Edit: The point of the post was to admit that, no matter what you might believe, maybe there's more to this.

Or, you know, modern medical professionals.

His outcome was determined by the interventions within the first 4 minutes of the collapse. Prayer had nothing to do with it.

Why does prayer not work for children dying of cancer?

I like to think that it was the talent of the trainers and medical staff that did so. Now if you want to argue that's also by the grace of God, then so be it.

It's the only thing that I have seen US citizens unite on since 2015.

I mean, it happened during a huge game with dozens of medical personnel at the ready and the absolute best in care immediately deployed, not to mention the whole millions of dollars thing.

I’d say that’s probably the biggest factor.

Probably because they aren’t making millions of dollars playing a game on live TV.

I give a lot of credit to the doctors and paramedics who helped him on the field and the specialist in the hospital.

CPR works really really well

If you start CPR within 30 seconds of arrest then a good outcome is actually likely

Didn't the NFL stop public prayers before games?

According to the left, any "thoughts and prayers" from those dastardly Christians is something to mock.

I saw a lot of players praying the other night. I haven't seen anyone mock them yet. I wonder why?

If we actually got rid of the political and religious shite, the OT would be great
