After more than a decade I finally ended it. Like most of us I was roped in with the college accounts early in the Prime days. Never used the streaming or music. Rumors suggest the shipping speeds are virtually the same, we'll see.

Anyone still subscribed to Prime solely for shipping?

The wife and I use the music on an echo device but with the recent change they made to amazon music I am about to follow in your footsteps.

We still have it and the shipping is nice but not on all things. We do find the streaming services and shipping for the year are worth it to us.

Me but I’m keeping an eye on how fast the shipping is. I swear I used to get Prime packages faster 10 years ago than today.

The same as what? I'd drop it if there were a similar alternative out there.

Years ago, Walmart had merged w/ another site (jet?) to attempt to get a slice into Amazon's market for shipping goods. Not sure what happened to that.

My wife was accidentally removed from the household, and she didn’t feel like bugging me to order stuff through prime, which is silly cause of course I’d have had no problem with it. Anyway, her items took days or a week or so longer to come in than mine and the exact day she could be put back on she made sure I did it.

WalMart+ has free shipping

Or you can use Poor Man's Prime: Order through WalMart.com and have it shipped to your nearest WalMart for free. Pick it up and Profit.

Free shipping and occasional streaming keeps us going. Plus, we still get most things in two days (even with no guarantees) so it’s still worth it to us for now.

I like this, I might need to borrow that from you

Not gonna lie, Walmart does site-to-store very well.

We cancelled a long time ago, shipping got too long. We went with Walmart+, it's been great so far with shipping. Plus a small fuel savings at Murphys and Sams and store deliveries.

Forgetting to add that second item to your previous order while being a Prime member: Priceless.

I still have it and it works for me. But I do need to sit down and look through my subscriptions because seems like every day I get at least one charge from Amazon for something I'm subscribed to.

Mine lapsed in December and I didn’t bother renewing it. I’ll just pirate whatever they stream and the shipping isn’t much slower.

Amazon prime and the Disney bundle are the only stand alone streaming services we pay for directly. HBOMAX, Netflix, Peacock, Paramount+, Showtime anytime, AMC+ and Apple TV are either provided free for purchasing a product or having service with someone like our internet and cell phone plan.

I am still milking the Amazon student price and when I lose it I am just going to sign up with the kids email address. It doesn't matter who the main account holder is, I have 3 different people on my prime membership.

Canceled mine several year ago, but I use my brother’s the rare times I order something from Amazon.
