Polian has been BK’s right hand man since Notre Dame. If you’re expecting BK to fire Polian before the season is even over, I don’t think that is going to happen. They will likely wait until the season is over and Polian will step down as special teams coordinator.

What, specifically, are you expecting?

I’ve said this before. I want to see if special teams change for the better with a more full roster

I always think about 2011 when you had guys like Ron Brooks and Jarvis Landry playing special teams. Lsu was playing walk ons on special teams this year. Not an excuse, just curious to see if there is improvement as the roster is built.

Brian Polian isn’t going anywhere, he is bringing in good classes as recruiting coordinator. That will outweigh his ills with S/T. Detillier had a good suggestion in an interview with Scott from the website DandyDon, he said they should hire an analyst who has specialized in S/T to help fix the problems. Not exactly ideal to need to hire an extra person to fix a position coach’s problems, but BP isn’t going anywhere.

He did. Got most explosive return guy out of high school from a yr ago. Our punter is back, kicker is true soph and the one hurt all yr won't be next yr. Delbert also back on kickoffs. We'll also be around 80+ scholarship kids at start of fall, vs the 72-74, this yr. So your pool to select special team unit kids is larger, not using starters on off or def as we had to this yr.

Our special teams was atrocious, no doubt, but I think with 1 yr of maturity from that whole group + Aaron Anderson, you will see natural improvement come game 1

This is addressed with depth.
Some of you idiots think it’s all on the ST coach.
