and have a great year. I think he will feel more confident, and our receivers will be better. Could be a great year!

Do you think he saw what Nuss did and realized “Hey, sometimes I just need to let it fly?” I mean, he did it in the Bama and ole Miss games. I’m just so damned confused on why he changed after Bama.

Receivers were fine. OL was fine. JD was fricking terrible at reading defenses, making decisions, arm strength on deep ball, and accuracy. Maybe he will be better after a few more years of college football

Best thing for LSU is for Daniels to sit.

Well he better be more comfortable with throwing before the receiver is standing still waving at him.

From week one he held the ball a long long time compared to other QBs - he had time but made no decision. Only one other QB in the SEC held the ball longer within the SEC week (1) vs Florida State - a stat that many refuse to look at.....Dead mans game holding the ball and thinking someone will change their fourth year starting at QB

He’s going to be behind an improved and more cohesive offensive line next year with experienced wide receivers that he’ll have had all the time needed to gel with and a stud TE. He’ll have more time to sit in the pocket. We’re going to learn early on, if he’s improved as a passer. He’ll have no excuses either way.

Likely to have a better stable of running backs behind him as well.

This isn’t a shot on JD, but go watch spring ball film vs last game of the season film and tell me how he’s improved?

It didn’t look like he had issues with the system.

He looked like a guy that couldn’t process real time information.

If Daniels can manage to throw the ball on target on long vertical routes next year, he could be great.

Wait, he came here with these issues right? So 3 yrs there didn't cure...but one year here

Possible, but I'd say in the 10% possible range

One thing that separates great QBs from average QBs is the ability to focus downfield even when the blitz is coming.

It is not a learned skill, you either have it or you do not. JB9 had it in spades, to some extent yet to be determined Nuss and likely Howard both have it.

We'll never know because CBK guaranteed the starting job to Daniel's.

When Daniel's pulls the ball down and runs he is no longer looking downfield for receivers.

Unless Kelly breaks his promise to Daniel's, we will next see Nussmeir on the Alabama or Auburn or UF sideline and Tiger fans will regret not giving Nuss a fair shot.

Not unless he becomes a pass first run second QB. Not unless he isn’t scared to throw the ball to a receiver that isn’t open by 10 yards.

He needs to change his mind set on the run first pass second.
