Good TV shows sometimes include electric “guest” characters that pop in, steal the show and bounce until their next appearance.

Some of my favorites that come to mind are Funkhouser from Curb, Crickett from Always Sunny, and Todd Packer from the Office.

Doesn’t have to be comedy, those are just the first ones that came to mind. Who are some more?

I'll give two. One is commonly mentioned and the other is obscure.

Jean Ralphio on Parks and Rec.

The Coroner on Endeavor. He's never on the screen much more than a minute but I find the character very likable. "Shall we say 2 o'clock?"

Mary Lightly and Pierre Despereaux in Psych. Jimmi Simpson is also fantastic as Liam McPoyle in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The bester were the McPoyles in IASIP. I would add Towlie from SouthPark and Newman from Seinfeld.
