Payton coming back would make no sense. He’s coming back to a team with no QB, no 1st rounder, no cap space, and honestly a worse team than last year.
The only way Payton would come back is if Gayle put him in the will to succeed her in ownership or gave him some kind of guaranteed ownership stake. That’s literally it because no other team could match that.
But I’m sure Gayle will just give the Saints to the Catholic Church when she dies anyway.
Best scenario is Payton is open to Arizona and LA Chargers. That would give the Saints a bidding war, much like what happened with Watson, and the best return ro rebuild for the future.

Would they consider re-inserting CSP as head coach and moving DA back to DC? I know that sounds Madden-esque but I wonder if that’s a possibility

no he isnt, its BS to up his offer to get more money
that said, im sure watching dalton makes payton see he ran out too fast and he can win a SB with dalton as his QB

Yeah, his squeeze ain’t going to like that. She despises NOLA
I can understand the sentiment, but for Sean Peyton money, I’m sure she could give a fu@k where he’s making the bread as long as she gets to sit at that table.

We watch so many games this year. Biggest secret but not a secret is Payton wants a west coast job. He isn't coming back. NOLA media doesn't have any creditable sources.

That being said, it’s hard to come back to the same team after a year
To be fair, he’s already done it once.
But I don’t think Payton will come back to the Saints. If this was coming from Payton it would leak through Jay Glazer.

He now sees Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson coming on the market. That makes him interested.

Oh, he MAY consider it....he's considering considering, is what you say....no, don't see it happening.

Payton has no incentive to return here. Allen already ruined everything on this team

Yeah Payton has zero fault ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Agree - WTF did he even say he would consider coming back to coach the sAINTS? He didn't. It is all BS.
And nobody can blame him for getting out of this shitehole of a city and state.

Give it a rest. It is over. He is gone.
He wanted it this way.
Get on with your life. Seriously. Stop.

I'd welcome SP back in a nano second

I’m calling it now. Brady and Payton lead Saints to the Super Bowl next year Make it happen Loomis
Sounds crazy but this is the only reason I could see SP being interested in coming back. Him and Brady tried to team up in Miami and we all know Brady wanted to come here before the Bucs

Payton's new team is playing right now

Why the hell would he do that?
We have a bleak future with the cap
