I’d find a good base and then find a top that meets custom needs if area and use. I like them to have some good depth for the top so you can take advantage of the real estate. Especially if using bigger monitor(s).

Not totally sure about your answer but I would have way more fun installing a remote switch to your desk and then move it just slightly while you were trying to work all through the day just to watch you get so frustrated

You don't need a desk that raises, baw. You need a floor that lowers:

This is the one im looking at. I only really need 2 monitors. Maybe 3 would be nice but not really necesary. Would be paired with a surface pro so qlmost just like that. Just dont want a pile of junk that the motors go out

We used Uplift at work and they were good, didn't notice any breaking. No features or anything special to recommend.

Look at Flexispot. Have had good luck with ours.

We used Varidesk. They sit on top of existing desks
5 years and all are functional

I've been eyeing an executive desk by Zuri for $2k on amazon but it's particle board and that just makes me mad for $2K.

I have no experience with the ones you mentioned, but I bought the legs and motor for a Vivo and put my own top on it for less than what they were charging for a similar sized particle board top.
It's 6' live edge cypress and looks a lot better than store-bought.

I've had a "fully" desk the last two years. No complaints!

Ikea Idasen base, go find a custom hardwood top for it. I got a big piece of butcher block that I finished to the size of 6' x 3'.
The Ikea base is sturdier than high end steelcase and other corporate style sit/stand desks. It has quality components in the raise/lower mechanism that isn't random chinese crap in other desks in this price range. I also recommend picking up the Linak DPG1C controller for it, it recommends when to stand and also has a memory feature for 4 different heights where it will auto adjust to those heights.

Sounds badass
Love mine, definitely recommend, there is an app that allows memory feature without the Linak upgrade.
If my basement wasn't in shambles from redoing it to be a home office I would get a pic. This guy put a live edge top on his, I have the dark gray version of it, this guy has the light gray. Looks like they went up about $150 since I bought in 2020.
