If a coach thinks he has a chance to march down the field, score first, and grab the momentum, then take the ball. If a coach likes his defense better and wants a 3-and-out and good field position after a punt, then defer and put your D on the field first.
Regardless, you either get the ball to start the game or to start the second half. It evens out.

"Join date" means the date you signed up. Yours says July of 2022.
"Post Count" means the number of times you've posted a message.
So you just created the accountant started posting messages at a very high rate that regularly call people "dumbass", "nutrag", "pussies", "bullshite" ..... and you're asking for stupid shite like a coach giving a 3-4 year assessment of how he sees "QB position playing out"
My point is .. you're a troll. Your participation in these forums often leads to direct personal insults and is usually not well thought out.

Here's five Notre Dame games against ranked P5 opponents in the last five years that Kelly won where he went on offence first. I can't find whether or not he won the toss in each game though that is pretty irrelevant as when he wins, he takes the ball virtually always, and when he loses the opposition almost invariably defers.
I can't remember an ND game where Kelly lost the toss and the other team took the ball first.

Call em how I see em. There are a lot of dumb posts on this site that call out players personally and I don't respect that. If you want choose to cherry-pick posts, you do you. Maybe you should push for better site moderation, because nothing I post is against TOS. Since you've been here so long, thought you might have noticed that.
