If you had to choose today, before any announcements or debates, who’s your candidate?

Candidate fields are weird. It could be none of them. No one saw Trump coming. Just wondering about these four.

DeSantis is the best option there.

Pence is queer. And DOA.

I don’t think Cruz can win the nomination and certainly can’t win a national election. I would guess his likability ratings aren’t high.

I think Trump is probably too damaged by the continual onslaught of the machine to be an effective candidate at this point. He’s like Bush at year 6 of his presidency - where the press had just pounded the shite out of his reputation 24/7 for 7 years.

Trump is basically Hillary at this point. If you attack enough, nothing matters. They’re done.

Trump can't win GA or AZ. Nominating him again would be insane

This.

Cruz and Pence's roles will be to bloody Trump and then be surrogates for Desantis once they drop out of the race.

Pence is a bitch and his only role will be to show how badly he can lose in Iowa before dropping out in embarrassment.

Trump.

But let's say come summer it's obvious Trump isn't viable and he throws his support to Cruz.

Could Paul Ryan's guy Desantis defeat a Trump annointed Lion Ted?

In that scenario, I'd vote Cruz.

If we don’t get behind DeSantis, we will just lose again. Trump is a buffoon

DeSantis. He’s the only electable one of the group and only one who has proven he can actually govern.

Well, let’s see… which one has been president and was very successful at running the country?

I’ll go with that guy.
