Striker is the only thing missing once we get rid of Berhalter.

CBs at this World Cup either will be too old or not good enough as well.

CCV should actually be starting instead of Zimmerman and Chris Richards is still really young

Man I don’t want to the prick but I am sick and tired of hearing this logic.

Every 4 years it’s wait until….

Donovan, Dempsey, Edu, Pulisic…etc.

This country will never win the World Cup cause the people simply don’t care. Soccer just recently creeped into main stream but still #5 overall behind the big sports. Hate to say it but hockey is more popular. Let that sink in.

Greg isn’t going anywhere. Might as well accept it.

Zimmerman was not the problem today. Adams failing to track their most dangerous player and Jedi/Dest forgetting their back post mark killed us. They play in Europe, in case you were wondering.

CCV needs to show some development still I think. Does he have a route to regular minutes with Tottenham in the next couple of years? If not he, his camp, and possibly US Soccer need to figure out where the best loan destination would be….I’m not 100% sure Celtic, or the Scottish league in general, is the best destination….I could be way off base here and I’m sure someone on here will let me know if I am haha.

Sure. What it comes down to is competition and technical ability. You can't win without it.

The US is too big to play great competition daily, weekly, etc. It is a problem. Our best players in BR have to travel 8 hours every weekend to play elite talent. Same with other regions. All it takes is good coaching and the ability to play other high level players. Luckily more and more players are moving abroad which is only helping

He was terrible man. His mistakes weren't glorified because they didn't score when he made them.

Miles Robinson can be added to the CB list if he heads to Europe and doesn't steal anymore (drink) shots

Unless you are Brazil, Spain, Germany or France, then you are in the same boat as the US every World Cup.

People act like it’s easy.

You’re not wrong, but we definitely do have more young talent coming up than ever before.

Likely still not enough to compete with the big dogs, but we will have better teams

I strongly disagree with this take. It's building. It takes time. Our system of bringing up players was absolute garbage until recently. There are still improvements to be made, but we have guys playing across all top leagues now.

Hockey is a regional sport, and forever will be, because you have to play it on fricking ICE. It's potential is limited. It's far too cost prohibitive to discover awesome talents unless they grow up in the north.

Heard this a lot since 2014. Agree our best are now playing on the elite clubs but it’s not like we haven’t had our best playing overseas before pulisic or Adams.

No, he’s a Celtic player now. He was sold to them this summer.
