Drew Pyne Notre Dame starting freshman QB hitting the portal

He went 8-2 as a starter and 4-1 against ranked teams (only losing to USC). Wonder if he was a Kelly recruit? 
So he has 3 years of eligibility left. Do we???

Everyone talks about Walker Howard being the next coming on Joe Burrow. I don't know why you would take a quarterback to put in the mix.
If Walker is that good then you won't need anyone else but we have yet to see him play a meaningful down in college.

I hate how LSU fans always thinks that the back up QB is going to be the next savior. I hope Howard is the next Burrow or at least half of what Burrow was but we have no idea at this time. I understand taking another QB runs the risk of having Howard transfer. All we can do is trust the coaches and their analysis of the QB situation. If BK takes another QB then it means he doesn't have faith in Howard.

The couple clips I’ve seen of his OC acting like a child mid game might be a reason. Who knows, maybe his OC talks to him like that everyday or they already have a replacement in mind for him.

This kid is not a take. I bet he goes to a smaller school or a program that has struggled. He can’t play here.

No point to this. LSU will have 3 QBs and if Jayden comes back, 4. If we lose a guy in spring then you look around when the summer portal opens up. There is no need to rush a QB pickup unless it is somebody crazy talented.

Preach bro, Joe Burrow is the best QB(season) 2019 is a once in a lifetime generational player in College Football History not only LSU. A matter of fact they or we will be talking about Joe Cool long after Walker and Walker’s grandkids are through playing. In the distant future hovering around in their electric space cars when LSU football is brought up Burrow and Cannon will still be the two names talked about in those virtual reality sportscast pod Skypes.

This is the way college football is now, and the way it will be going forward. Wherever a kid signs, there will always be a possibility of the school taking transfer players at his position. Some of them who get upset with it will move on and try to do the same thing to someone else at another school.
If Kelly and the staff believe they can bring in a player who can help us on the field and the right character to not disrupt team chemistry, bring him in, regardless of what position he plays.
