He was let go at the right time.
If not for the transfer portal, LSU would be set back 7+ years. Luckily in today's game you can rebuild faster.
But as soon as O was handed the NC trophy, he proceeded to turn everything to shite.

Recruits are different, but he put his arse on the bench when that was discovered. Plus Finley played because of injury. Kelly brought in this guy with plenty game film, to lead us. If you gonna bring in someone, at least bring in someone that can pass.

Agreed, should have fired him day after beating Clemson. Good god.

Perhaps you missed "in hindsight"?

What reports? It is literally one guy, Bruce Feldman, who wrote an article listing numerous "potential candidates"...of which he mentioned House as one. It's no different than any other article that comes out when a school is looking for a new HC. In fact, other writers at The Athletic have penned similar articles NOT listing House as a potential candidate The author usually just list the names of who he thinks might be coaches who could be considered for the job. It's just one authors opinion being discussed as FACT that Cincinnati even has interest in House.

0 didn’t win LSU shite. I have no clue why his fan club keeps trying to repeat that blatant lie into reality

but Les was usually solid on his DC hires.
Did you say this just to get upvotes?
OP said “assistants” & you limited it to DC.
He really only had Pelini, Chavis, & Aranda. Kevin Steele was a disaster & we had fricking Peveto for a year before Chavis
& to be fair, we lost a lot of games in the 4Q bc of Chavis

He had his time and we mutually moved on.
There was nothing mutual about his move. He got paid because he was owed. If LSU could have pushed him out without it costing a dime, they would have.

If you do not credit him with the win, you can’t blame him for losses. I do both. He gets credit and blame.
He had a meteoric rise to the top and as fast a fall. He’s gone. Long past the time time to move on.
Yes, I will be grateful that he captained the ship all the way. But I can still be frustrated that he squandered all the momentum by following it up with an 11-12 record... a year or 2 with Kelly at the head with solid performance will evaporate my distaste to just a sneer.

Canada as well. His coaching is in demand compared to Pelini, but his personality was so toxic at LSU. You cant win in the SEC with that.
Good leaders make good decisions. To turnover a coordinator and not take a step back is good leadership.
It may be Saban's best quality. But he blew it with O'Brien. Heisman QB at Alabama and not get it done.
BTW, some of you have no idea how good Miles was at LSU. Its tough to follow a Nick Saban, even after just 5 years will all his success and demand.
It was time for a change, you gotta beat Bama or bye. But, to compare Miles to O on coordinator hires is baffling.

If Kelly isn't worried, I'm not worried.
It is just nice that all the Daniels to the draft threads died with our playoff hopes. That shite was insane.

2019 defense had a freshmen corner starting and TONS of injuries the first half of the year. There's a reason they got hot at the end, and it's because they got healthy.

So him winning a national title for LSU doesn’t warrant him a decent buyout to step down? The money he was responsible for bringing to LSU paid for that buyout.
I hope some of you people responding like this aren’t running businesses because if so they won’t last long.
