Rick Neuheisel on ESPNU radio this morning made the exact same comments about UNLV as I have in this thread, and no one knows more about the Pac 12 than Rick.
He said watch for Gary Patterson at UNLV and then watch for UNLV to get a Pac 12 invite, along with San Diego State.
He didn't mention any other possible additions, but it seems like they would go ahead and make the jump to 14 or 16, just in case they lose more schools.

I would say Boise and Fresno.
They should add SMU to get into the Central Time Zone and into Texas.

Any kind of chance for Hawaii would probably be football only purely to get extra inventory for football games via the Hawaii away clause.

This might be the best addition they could make to the conference other than Boise State.

UNLV, San Diego State, Fresno State, Boise State, SMU, New Mexico.
Gives them a team in every western state except Wyoming and Montana.
They could market and lean hard into being the Conference of the West.

Well they are the program for their state with no competition, will have a new stadium soon… and give the PAC another time slot when they play at home

Lmao you just solved it, only logical conclusion. Patterson could literally get Texas or even the recent Auburn vacancy, if he truly wanted to.
