Star Trek is here. Where’s my sexy, redhead chief medical officer?

An experimental vaccine has generated antibody responses against all 20 known strains of influenza A and B in animal tests, raising hopes for developing a universal flu vaccine. Influenza viruses are constantly evolving, making them a moving target for vaccine developers. The annual flu vaccines available now are tailored to give immunity against specific strains predicted to circulate each year. However, researchers sometimes get the prediction wrong, meaning the vaccine is less effective than it could be in those years. Some researchers think annual flu jabs could be replaced by a universal flu vaccine that is effective against all flu strains. Researchers have tried to achieve this by making vaccines containing protein fragments that are common to several influenza strains, but no universal vaccine has yet gained approval for wider use.

Now, Scott Hensley at the University of Pennsylvania and his colleagues have created a vaccine based on mRNA molecules – the same approach that was pioneered by the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna covid-19 vaccines.

Never had a flu shot…never had the flu.

I want to be happy for this development, but then I remember how the jab was supposed to stop the spread of Covid.
Posted on 11/28/22 at 6:35 pm to UndercoverBryologist
Because it has worked so well against Covid…

I’ve had the flu one or two times and never in my adult life. I think I’ll be ok without the gene alterer.

What a load of horse shite.

Are they going to try and force this experimental gene therapy on the people like that last one, that does sweet frick-all to stop Covid?

I’ve only gotten the regular flu shot three times in my life, all after my kids were born and during the pregnancies out of an abundance of caution. Never had the flu in my entire life so I damn sure won’t be taking an MRNA flu shot. frick any self-righteous a-hole who thinks I’m stupid for that.

As soon as you see Biden, Fauci, or Gates’ name or face anywhere next to this suggestion, run as quick as you can in the opposite direction.
