Guy is an all world athlete for the position and has talent, but if he has not put it together in 4 years of starting to put trust in his teammate and make quick decisions, he will never be a championship QB.

That is okay too because without that kid, it is a totally different and likely lesser season. He simply can’t make the quick reads and decisions to be in that next tier consistently.

No matter what else happens, it’s been a very positive season andLSU will only get better from here.

We're folks saying the same thing about Burrow at the end of his 1st year at LSU with Orgeron at the helm?

Joe Burrow didn’t have 40+ games under his belt as a starter. I think we’ve seen the best JD can do by this point.

Joe Burrow would actually throw something other than a comeback route in addition to using his legs.

Burrow could also throw the ball over the middle of the field. Daniels has started 4 years and he is what he is, he’s not going to make some gigantic leap and be a different guy next season

Well JD has been a starter for 4 years and Burrow was his first year starting. If you go back and watch Burrow in the last games 3 or 4 games he started to sling it around and trust receivers and That carried over to 2019 season. If Burrow had started 4 years like Daniel's I'm sure he would have shattered many more records.

LSU has hasn’t had a championship QB besides Burrow and maybe Russell. Daniels is probably at the top of the list in recent times. I would put Mettenberger over him.

JD has gotten better through the season and if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in the SEC championship, but if he doesn't learn to trust his receivers and throw it in one on one situations it's going to be hard to win it all at the end of the year.

We have a legitamely dumb arse fan base comparing burrow to Daniels

Burrow didn't have 35 freaking college football starts prior to lsu. He was a complete unknown. Daniels is exactly what he is this season.

I agree.
He has the athletic ability to play in the NFL but I don’t see him as being a starting quarterback. I wish him the best.

Name the last two transfer QBs to start at LSU. Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels. Same sentence and is accurate.

This is spot on. Daniels is an incredible athlete and elite runner but is one of the worst passers I’ve ever seen at LSU and there have been some bad ones

Perhaps Jayden would be a better fit as a Running Back then a Quarterback. I mean Daniels overthinks too much instead of reacting. Putting him at Running back would also take away pressure he had as a Quarterback. Not having to overthink, just run the play and find the open hole/gap. I mean this is just my train of thought. I mean Daniels is a dangerous runner! Have either Walker or Nuss start next year and Jayden as a running back. It Would be interesting!

He can get more accurate with good coaching and hard work on his part. Think Rohan or JaMarcus before their 5th year.

LOL nice try.

Burrow ALWAYS read a defense better than JD and progressed through his reads at lightspeed compared to JD.

JD is a better athlete than Burrow and has lived on his mobile ability. Hell, 2018 Burrow would have this team still in playoff contention. JB had something you can't teach, he had heart.

Don't kid yourself, this years' Bama was worse than 2018 version. Also, this was a very down year for the SEC. We faced schools with true freshmen or QB's making their 1st ever start.

Not that it needs mentioning again but TAMU was 4&7 and we got molly-whomped by them.

A large part of Burrow’s issues in 2018 was a horrid offensive scheme that was in no way innovative. LSU changed the offense in 2019 and Burrow was able to succeed.

LSU is not getting a different offense next year, so people trying to compare Daniel’s to Burrow is just silly.

2018 was Burrow’s first year stating at all. Daniels is in His 4th consecutive year starting and has a ton of game experience.

Please stop comparing the two when they are nothing alike outside of being transfers that won the starting job their first year.
