Lacy’s drops and Daniels’ fumble were bad, but go watch the D-line get blown 5 yards off

5 yards off the line EVERY running play that went wide. No DE’s setting the edge. No linebackers keeping contain. Just looked like a bunch of boys getting thrown around by grown men. Completely embarrassing.
Coach House better have every defensive player’s arse in a chair watching film and shame their arse by number. No excuse for that piss poor effort and technique. Maybe Gordon McKernan throwing the NIL money got them thinking they are already somebody, but last night they played like nobodies. They embarrassed themselves last night.

Our D-Line hasn't been overly impressive all season, IMO
And I'm strictly talking about containment and pressuring QB.

I noticed that as well. Achane was getting 3-4 yards before contact. The few plays we hit him at the line, we never drove him back, he would fall forward 2-3 yards. I think the first negative rushing play for them was on their last drive in the 4th when they iced the game.
Defense was embarrassingly horrible.

Losing Maason Smith hurt badly

Yuuup, Jimbo made sure his best player, Achane touched the ball 45 times and told LSU to stop him. Tigers had no answer , poor tackling, out of position, and basically got beat by #6 all night long

I am not a dline coach, but it looked like the dline was playing high, on those runs they bounced outside you could see the gold helmets popping up higher than A&M.

This was the main problem. LSU D line got their shite pushed in all night
Think about what the UGA line will do…

D line was manhandled all night.

It was bad but they've only been rotating 3 guys all year. Losing Maason Smith was paramount but the lack of DL talent is the fault of Orgeron. Our interior guys were exhausted. The edge guys have just been unimpressive.

Georgia will put 50+ on us. Then wait for the opt outs for the bowl game. It’s going to be bad

Gotta believe Roy and Wingo are toast. They've played damn near every snap.

People keep saying this but the problems are bigger than maason smith

The A&M OL was purposely blocking down, to the left or right. The LSU DL was engaging with the OL and following the blockers down. Achane was patient and would cut back to the open side of the field often times bouncing it outside. Achane didn’t beat LSU with long runs, he beat LSU with 38 rushes for 5-6 yds every pop. Very frustrating when the defense knows what’s coming and fails to shed blockers and execute.

exactly right. Those longs drives early were deadly. They HAVE to get off the field on 3rd vs GA, esp early

These posts are spot-on. Every time I thought “wow, we tackled that guy” I then realized it was 6 yards downfield. No real pressure on their true frosh QB. No holding calls on A&M. Was kind of a walk in the park for the worst SEC offense who scored 20 points on UMass last week (basically a high school team)

Those 2 have done an incredible job considering they have played 90% of snaps all season. Roy had a good game last night.
Jimbo did a great job of scheming around Perkins to limit him. Gaye looks like Tarzan but doesn’t make enough plays given his potential.

I'll say it. It's called domination baw. Texas A&M simply won the battle in the trenches. As a result of that, Texas A&M won the game.

Saw Perkins get put on his back…we never had a chance

At least 75% of their 3rd downs was 3rd and very short
