Have you at lease acknowledged that he faced much better defenses this season than he had in the previous years?

Except there's no stat to prove that's the case. Which defense do you speak of? Arkansas has one of the worst pass defenses in the country and he threw for around 80 yards.

Auburn has one of the worst defenses in the country and he threw for around 80 yards.

Bama was the best defense he faced and he threw for a below-average 180 yards (thats not good by modern football standards).

Its funny to watch the homers dive deeper to rationalize the stupidity of the entire Kelly offensive plan.

Rushing numbers are up because he’s having to scramble more against SEC pass rushers.

So, you are OK with wasting wide receiver talent?

I’m ok with being playoff contenders next year and believe he can develop. Yes.

So are you ready to move on from Brian Kelly as head coach after this failed year?

And, he is already locked in as the starter next year.
some don’t want to hear it, but he started every game this season because he gave LSU the best chance to win. Ask the coaches.

If he returns next year it’s going to be an open competition but if he’s named the starter, he’s going to be top 10 maybe top 5 in preseason heisman odds.

So do you think he can see open recievers down field? Read a defense? Anticipate pressure? When he does see a rec down field, can accurately get it to him?

and to be fair about my JD5 assessment, he was also a preseason heisman favorite and we saw how that turned out

It's funny to see the irrational meltdown from people with zero reading comprehension.

But didn't you know, our irrational fanbase knows more than the coaches. We obviously have 4 heisman candidates on the bench but BK won't play them because he wants to seem woke.

I'm not a huge fan of the style either but he finished in the low 30s in Scoring Offense and Total Offense in his first year with two true freshman tackles.

That said, would want us to take a step forward next year and we know what we have with Daniels now. We got plenty of sample size and it's hard to envision him improving meaningfully. But he is almost certainly the starter and that will be pretty disappointing and frustrating to watch.

Lol. Teams are figuring him out and how to scheme him, see arky and a&m. He still can't pass down field, and I'd think that would be an essential for winning the Heisman. He throws short passes and let's his recs make yards after catch, which he gets credit for the yardage while they make plays. He can't read a d, can't anticipate pressure and damn sure can't see open recs down field...and the few times he does see them he throws the ball out of bounds half the time. But yeah, sure, he is Heisman favorite.

If JD5 is the best QB, the room needs a cleaning. He should never take another meaningful snap at LSU as QB. Never.

They may not be Heisman candidates (neither is Daniels) but I'm quite certain they can at least keep the ball on the field of play on down field passes. You can only go so far with a guy that can't see the field or accurately throw down field.

Well I'm not retarded so I figured out that the average scoring defense Daniels faced in 2021 at Arizona St. was ranked 66th (not counting FCS teams). The average scoring defense he faced in 2022 at LSU was ranked 49 (not counting FCS teams but counting Georgia).

His competition this year has been the best he's ever played and yet he increased his completion percentage by 4% while attempting the most passes in his career and increased his rushing yards while setting a career high for attempts and TDs.

Facts don't care about your feelings.
