I'm not sure if this is the place for this, but I've noticed a definite uptick in online videos and Christians organizations and people who are campaigning against Christmas and all I have to say is:

Don't be that guy who is opposed to everything. You are making zero impact and all you really do is turn yourself into some bitter weirdo yelling at strangers and their kids.

If you want to celebrate, do so. If not, don't do so. If you're worried about it, go tell someone about what you are for, the gospel, not what you're against.

Quit pretending you're so super spiritual you would never smile at a child getting excited about presents on Christmas morning.

I’ll celebrate Christmas but I’ll be damned if I ever drop another penny in a Salvation Army bucket.

Christmas traditions are pretty pagan in their origins. No doubt about that.

But last time I checked, God created December 25th too, so why not reclaim it?

Its giving gifts to adults that needs to stop.

I am well versed in all the pagan holiday tie ins with Christmas and Easter etc….but I generally keep my knowledge to myself regarding that because there’s a time and place for letting it out and one has to use proper discernment about that.

However the main problem I do have with it all, the “Christian Holiday” celebrations, is that it can give cults such as Jehovah’s Witnesses a bit of a camel with its nose in the tent effect when they point things like this out. It can make them appear to have a false sense of enlightenment to those who they prey on to take a valid beef with mainline Christian organizations and then, once they get a platform, drive off the rails with their main doctrine. I don’t like the leg up it can give them to deceive people.

Much like Christian nationalism, I must be following the right people on social media because I don’t know anybody that’s advocating for this.

Several holiday have pagan origins, but they are so engrained into our society that it’s impossible to ignore them at this point. If you try to keep your kids from celebrating Halloween or Christmas, it will only make them resent you. Pick your battles and fight the ones worth fighting, like LGBTQ indoctrination in children’s cartoons.

They say Keep Christ in Christmas. For years I've been saying keep Christ out of Christmas.

Commercial Christmas is obscene. It was way back when Charlie Brown said so in the 70s and it's infinitely worse today.

The whole "Jesus wasn't born on December 25th" argument is just dumb, if for no other reason, I've never heard anyone claim that He was.

My birthday is December 25th. I rarely celebrate my birthday ON my birthday for obvious reasons. I once had a birthday party in May since my family knew I wouldn't be getting one in December. Still got presents. Still got hammered. Still got my birthday BJ from my wife. It was a good day, although inaccurate in terms of the calendar. It didn't matter.

No point in arguing about it here. The answer is easily found in scripture. See Romans 14:5-6

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Where do y'all find these people? I never see this.

I see Christians who campaign against Halloween, and I understand where they're coming fr even if I totally disagree, but I never see this with Christmas.

I am celebrating Christmas as the birth of our Lord and Savior. You do you.

Not directed at you Squid man.
