It still blows my mind every time I randomly look at the price of a TV nowadays.

That’s surprising. I thought we passed Obamacare since then which lowered costs and provided access to healthcare for millions!

They should be handed out for free or have to compensate the viewer through an agreed upon monthly contract.

Senator Joe Liberman (D) has entered the chat. RIP single payer health insurance.

I don’t want the government to take over healthcare, but something needs to be done in a major way to fix things.

Healthcare and college tuition are out of control.

It was not designed to lower cost. It was was to reduce how fast it went up. Imagine how much more expensive it would have been!

They basically have already. They use mediCARE(for the elderly) to manipulate and get what they want. Other insurance companies then apply those same or similar cuts. Look up PDGM for an easy example of attempts to ration services bc we have more consumers than providers in this country.

That’s what they changed the narrative to after the first two years of Obamacare showed increased medical costs, not the highly touted savings per family.

Weird. The two markets that the gov’t most heavily regulates and subsidizes are the ones with the highest costs and the least return on consumer investment? That’s just bizarre.

Yep.
Almost as if artificially setting prices leads to prices being disconnected from economic realities.

Crazy how that works.

It’s really nice when the government puts controls on things you need to survive.

And half the country wants more of it.

Everyone loves to shite on Obama for that, but he’s the only President who attempted to fix our shitty healthcare system.

All of the others just shrug it off and wait for your cancer bankruptcy

Great examples of government intervention making things worse. BTW, Obamacare was designed to fail to usher in a single payer system. If HRC is elected instead of Trump we wold have it and it would be even worse. Harry Reid, the Senate leader at the time is on video saying exactly that. Let us not forget Mary Landriue was the last vote to pass this dumpster fire. The main reason she was not re-elected. Of course college tuition is an absolute dumpster fire due to the ease of Federal student loans. Anyone want to guess what happens if Potato in Chief gets to forgive 10K plus to that mess.

Did he though? Many criticized his plan (both the left who wanted universal and the right who didn’t want government mandates) because it wasn’t a solution to our problems. If anything, his plan has made insurance companies richer and healthcare more expensive.

I don’t see anyone coming up with the solution to the problem, so until they do, or even attempt to, they shouldn’t be throwing stones.

Everything about the healthcare industry is a scam

Obamacare was not to help us

Obamacare was a bailout for health insurance companies disguised as “healthcare access”
