Double-edged sword. The benefit of playing a tough schedule is it puts us ahead of USC at this time and all but assures us of a spot if we beat Georgia, notwithstanding 2 losses. The flip side is, we play a tough schedule, which includes Georgia in the SECCG as opposed to a significantly lesser ranked team.

If the SECCG wasn't played USC would probably jump us with 2 more quality wins over ND and Oregon while our resume is basically finished

If there is no SECCG we are not #4 or #5... We have to beat UGA to make the playoffs and it is because they are #1 that it serves our purpose.
