It really is a perfect movie.

I never thought of that. I'm going to suggest that to the wife (no pics) the next time we watch it. You know, to ruin the movie forever for her.
One thing that bugged me...towards the end, on their last night on the road, there is a sign that says they are something like a hundred miles from Chicago. shite, at that point can't Neal get his lazy-arse wife to come pick him up? If you say maybe he didn't want her driving in snow at night, well, they shouldn't be fricking living in Illinois, then.

As a geography snob it bothered me that they were pulled over by a Wisconsin state trooper. That does not make sense
