Leave Napier alone. He's a good coach. His first year at ULL they went 7-7. In his fourth they went 12-1 (8-0) and were in the top twenty. Will he be the answer at Florida, that remains to be seen but judging him after just one year is unfair.

Kelly came to LSU with 40ish scholarship players and has us in Atlanta less than 12 months later. Is it fair to judge him?

He inherited a team that went to NY6 bowls three of the previous four years. Urban Meyer stepped into a far worse situation and went 9-3 in year one. And if you’re gonna tell me it’s not fair to compare him to Urban, GTFO. He took the Florida job not FAU.

In any event he was never a candidate here anyway. Jordy thought he was a king maker after that shite he and the polish prince pulled with O. Thank god we have adults in the room now.

Bunch of creepy Napier stans in this thread. He’s not going to cut it in the SEC. You can see he’s in massively over his head

Why leave Napier alone exactly? Why are people so defensive over another team's coach? I really don't understand this. Because he coached at a Louisiana school he used as a stepping stone? So what? Coaches do it all the time. He's the coach of Florida. I am not about to "leave him alone." I don't think he's that great. I think he makes horrible in game decisions. Florida fans say this every single week. They are growing tired of it already.

Of course he deserves more than a year, but it's perfectly fine for people to call their shot now. He very well could turn it around, but I am thankful he is not the coach at LSU.

If he keeps putting up season numbers like 2022 he will be "alone".

Ok but he got better at ull because he eventually accumulated better talent. He’s got way more talent at Florida as compared to Vanderbilt.

Florida just lost to Vanderbilt for only the 2nd time in the past 31 years. It’s absolutely fair.

But very tRantlike.

If Florida gives him a minute, he'll do well I suspect. I wouldn't have hated him as the hire but doubt we would be where we are now with Napier here. I always thought Kelly was the better hire, just didn't see it coming until it happened.

Give the Florida fan base another year. If the man goes for another .500 season or even an 8-4 season, they will be calling for his head.

I understand why people are bringing him up. There was a noticeable lobbying effort for him on this board, an effort that was disproportionately high given that he was a Sun Belt coach and this would be his first power 5 job.
