people can bitch and complain all they want.....
Alabama is NOT a #1 ranked team. Process of elimination put them there. They beat Georgia, and was also outscored 30-10 in the second half of that game. Other than that, their schedule has been mediocre, at best.

This is the game we've all been waiting for - not because of the Saban drama - this is the game when LSU actually jumps out ahead and stays ahead - not the usual come from behind.

The jinx of #1 will bite them (like it did another school twice last year.)
Despite Saban's best efforts, the fans and team believe that they are the best team in the country and can't be beat (Texas?)
At this point, they are #1 as a product of the system. Other than Georgia (who put up 30 on them in the second half) they have not had any great wins and a few close calls.
When LSU eliminates mistakes, conditioning and depth will win out in the second half

It's funny to me that most of the "reasons" I see on this site for LSU winning go something like this:
"When LSU does something that they haven't been able to do yet this season against Alabama who won't be able to do what they've been doing this year, LSU will win and we will love it."
