The accelerated adoption of liberal fiscal and social policies going forward is a direct consequence of conservatives losing touch with reality. Starting with the Tea Party and culminating with MAGA, conservatives have alienated moderate and young voters with a constant stream of insanity and vitriol.
As shown in the 2020 election and the weakest mid-term showing by Republicans in modern history, most voters reject the crazy.
By allowing the crazies to hijack the party, you killed it. I was a center-right moderate, but will vote Democrat straight down the ticket until the crazy has been purged. There are millions like me and it’s all your fault.
