What reasons do white straight males vote Democrat in 2024?

Genuinely curious. The Democrat message is that white males are evil(despite our country’s success).
So what reason could they possibly have? The economy tanking? Stagnant stock market? Inflation? Would love a rational answer.

My girlfriend's dad is an old school union man. I don't think he pays enough attention to understand how whackadoo his side has become on most cultural issues. I know he wouldn't approve.

My grandfather was a Union Dem.
If you asked that man his opinion on any political topic, he'd always align with the Republicans.
I told him one day, you know you agree with Donald Trump on about 98% of things.
The man almost had a stroke and died on the spot.
I loved him but he didn't really get into the weeds on anything. He was still voting Dem like it was the 1960s
I imagine much of their support is still the same way.
