Not a win.

I haven’t looked at the records, but I challenge anyone to find a season where we lost the next week AFTER a win Vs Bama.

Maybe 1993? But that was a bad LSU team.

We have often let down after a Bama loss, but we beat Bama in 2022.

We beat Arky too.

Well, ever since Bama was, well, Bama we've beaten them 3 times and here's the next game:

2010 - ULM
2011 - Western Kentucky
2019 - Ole Miss

Don't really count 2007, they went 6-6 in Saban's first year, was still a talking point because he was our former coach but they weren't the program that they would become yet. Florida and Auburn were still the biggest games of the season for us at that point. Not to mention 2011 and 2019 are 2 of our best teams all time. 2019 Ole Miss we caught heat for the 2nd half but that's the most overrated talking point ever. It was 31-7 at half and we still won by 21.

So it's kind of new territory for us coming off the Saban era Bama win, this isn't one of the most talented LSU teams of all time and we're not playing a rent a win after it. Coach Kelly has a history of winning most games he should win especially in November though, he'll have the Tigers ready to play their best.

1982. Beat 20-10, then list to Miss State 27-24.

LSU vs. Miss St 1982

Dang, also 1984

1997 lost to Notre Dame the week after beating Bama. What do I win?

Here’s the thing though, what LSU teams have done for the past 50 years has absolutely zero effect on this team, whether it be good or bad.

Ok. 25 years ago.

And that was the game where Notre Dame was perfect, right? I was at that game. Yuck.

If we include that loss from 1997, what is our record the week after a Bama win Vs the week after a Bama loss?

Miserable game, I was there. Cold and drizzly as I recall.
My wife's boss at the time was a Notre Dame grad. He couldn't go so gave us his tickets. We were in the middle of the ND crowd. They were actually pretty cool except when they started the "here come the Irish BS".

At we got retribution in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport that year.

History also said we couldn’t beat Auburn and Florida on the road in the same year. Tossing the history books out this season.

A big factor with playing the Hawgs after Bama is Bama usually beats the shite out of us physically. We are usually all banged up. Last I heard, zero injuries post game this year.
