Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours…?

We passed the Arthur M Anderson just this last week. We are currently unloading coal about 30 miles from where she sank.

The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy

The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay if she'd have put 15 more miles behind her.

Some of these posts are incredible, it’s almost as if you could somehow string them all together and make a song out of them!

They might have split up or they might have capsized
They may have broke deep and took water
And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters

Visited the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum a few years ago. Really fascinating. The Museum estimates around 6,000 ships and 30,000 lives have been lost in the Lakes. It's really hard to imagine ships that size could go down like that in fresh water for some reason, but I've seen waves over 10' in Lake Michigan, and they purportedly get much higher, the highest estimated to be around ~30 ft.

Had some items from the wreck. LINK
