Tupelo, MS - What to do in 6 hours?

Title says it all. Will spend about 6 hours awake in Tupelo on Friday morning. Never been. Reckon I should see birthplace of Elvis, ride on Natchez Trace Parkway. Anything else of note. Would like a good lunch before heading to Starkville, any recommendations for that?

Is there an Elvis museum to see?

Blue canoe is a good place to get a drink and eat.

There is a place called the Neon Pig that has the best burger I’ve ever had.
Weird name for a place that specializes in burgers, I know.
Tupelo is a great little small town. The downtown area is nice. You can see where Elvis bought his first guitar.

Thought it might have tornado damage but I see that it missed.

Neon pig for a burger.
Tupelo has some of the best food per capita of any town I’ve been to.

There’s a really cool mid-century modern residence on the west side of town.
I saw it about a month ago from the road.
I’d call around and see if the owners would invite me in to see it.
Address: 9233 West Main Street, Tupelo,MS

Forgot about that place. The smash burger is unreal. Sad the one in Oxford closed.

The Elvis Presley birthplace. Excellent BBQ at Clays house of Pig on veterans Blvd that’s really close to the birthplace. Neon pig is a great suggestion. Blue Canoe too.

Seem to recall a decent Thai restaurant close to the movie theater.

I'm pretty sure you can buttfrick a bison in that park they have.

There is a burger place there where you can sit in the exact same booth that Elvis sat in 60 years ago. You can tell which one by the photo posted of him sitting in it.

In addition to what you mentioned, there’s an escape room there that is kind of fun. I also recommend the Queen’s Reward Meadery.
