Who trusts the computers that tally the votes?

Not me. Too much potential for trickery that the common man can't root out. A voting booth could randomly tally 2 or more votes based on the coding. Control of the electronics is suspect.

Not as much as I trust Mexican tap water, gas station sushi, and a rattlesnake with a "pet me" sign .

It's best to stay above the fray, and just not vote.
Who can be disappointed then?

Those computers are as trustworthy as the ones setting them up for use...
which is to say, dirty rotten cheats need to be hung from lampposts
and just when you need an example - - - "tarzana"

Nah, the more we vote, the more excessive cheating will be required and the greater opportunity to detect it.

You should follow your advice then.

I trust the computers. I don't trust those who write the code for the computers

In this day and age we should not be hand counting ballots. If anything we should all be voting electronically.
Jesus people, if they can figure out a way to do this in freaking Estonia it should be doable here.

I don't believe there's "cheating." If I did, I wouldn't vote.

I trusted them right up until they told me it takes days for the computer to tabulate vote counts.

Estonia doesn't have a criminal political party like the Democrats

The code should be no more complicated than
n = (n+1)

Finger staining only stops voter fraud.
It does nothing against massive election fraud that goes along with:
Corrupt officials and poll workers
Mail-in ballots where anything counts
Computers that count the encoded mark on the ballot and not the actual info on the ballot itself

If you really believe there is/was no cheating, then you are willfully blind. That's no surprise to most of us here on this forum.
