Latest forecast is looking a lot better. Now showing rain clearing out by lunch time. Let’s hope it’s correct!

If it speeds up more, it may clear out before 9AM.

That’s actually a good question that I’ve seen different answers over the years. The new turf is supposed to drain extremely well. But why not cover it until you need it.

Thunderstorms likely in the morning, then a chance of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon.

I would imagine the field crew is taking into account expected rain totals and dry time to decide whether to tarp or not.
It we get 1-2” of rain before noon, tarping would certainly help but that’s plenty of time to dry and drain. Wouldn’t be noticeable.

Oh Saint Borne, Voice of the Valley of Death. We know that you control the rain in Tiger Stadium. Hear the cries of the Tiger Faithful. The crowds of the stadium heed your voice. We Cheer when you say our opponents are Peen-analized. Calm the storms that threaten our experience of Tiger Stadium at night. And may the chance of rain be………NEVER

Dress appropriately, be prepared for everything from 60 and raining to 80 and humid, strap up and let it roll.

Careful, this image will trigger a lot of those posters in other threads that said LSU never uses tarps.

The front will more than likely speed up as it has done all week. It looks like the rain will be through BR by lunch at the latest right now.
