I was told today that shaving cream wiped on and left to set over night does the trick

Has anybody used a glass sealant?
We recently bought some of that (511). So far so good - may be too early to tell

I’ve used squeegee and windshield wiper spray after every use from day one . It’s the only way.

Spray it with CLR and wipe off. Then clay bar stubborn areas. Once you get it nice and clean RainX or other glass sealers will work great and keep it clean and make it much easier to clean,
Of course you have to reapply Glass sealers every week or two but it is easy.

I’ll have to try this. It requires constant maintenance so anything that helps is welcome.

Magic eraser and 10x Lysol lime and rust toilet bowl cleaner. My neighbor cleans houses for a living showed us this. Cleans the glass and doesn’t damage it.

Good luck as that can be tough to do. I never had any luck cleaning to the point I liked it. When I built my home I installed a water softener and put in shower glass that has a coating on that helps regard the buildup. Also squeegee after every shower. All I got.

I’ve used one of those headlight reconditioned kits on a really bad glass door. Cleaned it right up. Then keep on top of it with rain x and preventative spray after each shower.

Barkeepers Friend and then wipe with a light bit of WD40. Then buff lightly.
I use a fibrous disc on a drill and it swipes the sludge right off.

Having a hard time keeping up with scum and water marks on my glass shower, looking for suggestions on removal
If it is soap scum, that’s easy….just get some bathroom cleaner and get after it.
If it is a mineral buildup (water spots) on the glass, get some CLR and apply as directed…this may take several applications.
If the glass is cloudy because it is etched (that was the case with mine) you are fricked unless you want to change the glass.

how do you know if it is etched vs the removal of scum or mineral did not work?

Barkeepers Friend. There is nothing that I've found that works like this.
