I’m scared every time I think about our special team. We’d better fix the mistakes before this game.

I had warned folks preseason. The issues with the coverage and fumbling on kickoff and punt returns are a focus, practice reps, and effort issues. Coverage on special teams is an effort play.
We have a great punter, snapper, and kicker. They are more than serviceable. Hell the punter is a stud.

Seriously just fair catch everything or let it roll and take the bad field position. We’d have been better off all season if we just did that every time. I have zero faith in this special teamS (plural) unit whatsoever.

The latter and any instance where opposition is backed up, clearly not faking a punt, just send all 11 guys after the punter for a block.

I still think one of these games special teams is going to make a huge, game-changing play--blocked punt, punt return TD, unsportsmanlike conduct on the punter, something.

Kind of reminds me how Saban took a really bad Alabama team over in 2007 and we played them at home that year. I think Javier Arenas had a punt return in that game and we needed a 4th down conversion to win it on a late drive.
Pretty sure LSU had like 12 penalties in that game too. Classic Miles sloppiness playing down to opponents.
